What dispatch heard in August →
A woman struck by an SUV at Slater's Lane in Potomac Greens, a cluster of strikes around Edsall Road and South Van Dorn Street in the West End, and a child hit at Russell Road and Mount Vernon Avenue on the month's last day.

A hit-and-run pedestrian struck by a blue vehicle on Duke Street, another pedestrian struck at Gristmill and Hoffman, and injury and property-damage crashes along the Mount Vernon Avenue corridor.
