A hit-and-run pedestrian strike at East Nelson Avenue and Mount Vernon Avenue (Del Ray, MVA corridor), on Sunday, September 13 — known only from the victim’s own delayed report. Nothing touched the radio until Wednesday, when his call was dispatched as a report call; on Thursday he walked into headquarters to file, and the call-taker’s entry briefly toned out fire units for a strike four days old before a battalion chief caught the error. No EMS ever responded, no striking-vehicle description exists, and the strike’s time of day is unknown. One incident, three dates in the public record — and it would appear in no scene-based crash data at all.
